Abu Dhabi waived off license fees for 2 years

Abu Dhabi executive council has now approved the resolution to waive off the commercial license fees for two years in order to stimulate business growth. This sanctioned resolution is effective from 1st December 2018.

 

Not only the license fees, the executive council has also sanctioned another resolution which aims to exempt and reduce the fees of 98 basic services charged by the Municipalities of Abu Dhabi on the private sector. Under this, total 75 basic services are totally waived, and 23 services fees are reduced by 10-15% of the total fees of each service.

 

This was announced under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. This measure is taken to attract new investors to Abu Dhabi, to strengthen the competitiveness and to reduce short-term cost pressure.

 

The two aforementioned resolutions are aimed to accelerate Abu Dhabi government’s program “Ghadan 21” which aims to improve the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi in business, investments, knowledge innovation, expansion, society and lifestyle.
